Our sixth graders took part in a special Aseret Yemei Teshuva program today.
We had the privilege of having Mrs. Scheinberg, our school social worker and
Mrs. Bodkins, Director of Student life, conduct an interactive session with the girls during which they learned an experiential manner the impact of one's words and its consequences.
The students experienced firsthand the impact of positive vs. negative speech. The students were also given the opportunity to process the activity and fully recognize the implications of one's words. We think it would be very helpful if you reach out to your daughters to further discuss the themes of this program. In this manner the girls can review and internalize the lessons they hopefully learned.
One Parent immediately responded: "[My daughter] literally just told me about this! Wonderful initiative and impactful. B'ezrat Hashem the girls should learn and grow from this and continue to take care of other people’s feeling the way they wish theirs to be handled with care."
